Many people struggling with addiction are also carrying the weight of a mental health condition — depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, or ADHD. These aren't separate problems. They're deeply connected, and treating only one while ignoring the other is one of the most common reasons people don't see lasting recovery.
At Atlas, our co-occurring disorder program is designed specifically for individuals dealing with both substance use and a mental health condition at the same time. Our clinicians take an integrated approach, addressing your addiction and your mental health together, through a personalized plan built around your unique situation.
Please note: we are not able to accept individuals seeking treatment for a mental health condition alone, without an active substance use disorder.
If you've tried treatment before and felt like something was missing, this may be why — and this is where that changes.
Here’s a preview on what you can expect from our program.
We start by getting a full picture of both your substance use and your mental health history. This allows us to understand how the two are connected and build a treatment plan that addresses both from day one.

No two people arrive with the same combination of challenges. Your care plan is built specifically for you, accounting for what substances are involved, what mental health conditions are present, and what your recovery goals look like.

Recovery doesn't stop when a session ends. We connect you with the resources, community, and continued support you need to build a stable, sustainable life beyond treatment.

We keep our groups small on purpose. You won't get lost in the crowd. You'll work closely with counselors who know your story and are invested in your progress.

A co-occurring disorder — sometimes called a dual diagnosis — is when someone is experiencing both a substance use disorder and a mental health condition at the same time. Common examples include alcohol use and depression, opioid use and PTSD, or stimulant use and anxiety.
Yes. This program is for individuals who are navigating addiction alongside a mental health condition. If you are seeking treatment for a mental health condition only, this program would not be the right fit — and we'll do our best to point you toward resources that are.
We work with a wide range of conditions including depression, anxiety, PTSD and trauma, bipolar disorder, and ADHD, among others. During your intake, we'll assess your full history to make sure we understand everything that's going on.
Standard programs focus primarily on the addiction itself. Our co-occurring disorder program treats both your substance use and your mental health simultaneously, because research consistently shows that integrated treatment leads to better, longer-lasting outcomes.
